An evening workshop focused on sculpting a meaningful object to hold and to guide
 
We'll be looking at types of talisman from antiquity to now, across different cultures.  I'll talk about how I created my own talisman that embodied my journey and experiences.  You'll be encouraged to consider how your own beliefs and elements of your life story can be imbued in yours
There will be a small selection of different clays, and plenty of tools and other items for sculpting and mark making.  We will be exploring various handbuilding and decorative techniques.  Suitable for all levels (prior experience with clay is unnecessary)
 
Your work will be fired and glazed, and will be ready for collection around four weeks after the workshop
